Role Summary / Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Engineer / Sales & Business Development Assistant to support business growth and manage the technical sales lifecycle. The role involves a combination of business development activities, lead generation, client engagement, technical tendering, quotation preparation, and coordination with internal teams. This position is ideal for an engineering professional who enjoys client interaction, field activities, and operational coordination in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities and prospective clients.
- Business Development Activities: Conduct client visits, meet potential customers, and represent the company at industry exhibitions, seminars, and networking events.
- Tendering Support: Assist in preparing and reviewing technical tender documents and submissions.
- Sales Operations: Prepare technical quotations, proposals, sales orders, and client presentations while ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate effectively with technical, logistics, procurement, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of sales activities and customer requirements.
- Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records, customer databases, inventory-related data, and generate periodic reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and business performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, sales support, or business development.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent communication, presentation, multitasking, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, quick learner, and a positive team player with a customer-focused approach.
