Solar Rooftop Sales Engineer / Project Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on professional to manage rooftop solar projects from client engagement to successful commissioning. This role combines technical understanding, customer management, and project execution to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of solar installations.
You will work closely with clients, engineering teams, and installation partners to ensure projects move smoothly from proposal stage to system handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with assigned customers to understand rooftop solar project requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess roof conditions and collect necessary project data.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams to obtain technical feasibility and proposals.
- Present solar solutions to customers and explain system benefits, savings, and timelines.
- Address customer questions and provide project updates during the sales and execution phases.
- Finalize commercial terms and support contract closure.
- Plan project execution timelines once the order is confirmed.
- Coordinate with procurement and installation teams to ensure site readiness and timely material delivery.
- Monitor installation progress and ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Manage commissioning, net-metering approvals, and final project handover.
What We Are Looking For
- 2–6 years of experience in solar rooftop EPC or renewable energy projects.
- Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or similar).
- Strong ability to manage clients, vendors, and installation teams.
- Good understanding of rooftop solar systems and project execution.
- Comfortable with site visits and on-ground project management.
