Overview
The Sales Engineer for Injection Molding and Toolroom will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and ensuring client satisfaction in the injection molding sector. This position involves engaging with clients to understand their needs, providing solutions that incorporate advanced tooling and molding techniques, and effectively communicating the value of our products and services. The overarching objective is to support business development while fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct needs analysis with potential clients and offer tailored solutions in the injection molding and tooling domain.
- Develop and present technical sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Prepare and submit accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure feasibility and accuracy of proposed solutions.
- Maintain and update customer records using CRM tools to track interactions and sales progress.
- Facilitate after-sales support, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any technical inquiries or concerns.
- Drive marketing initiatives to promote injection molding capabilities and toolroom services.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to effectively strategize sales approaches.
Technical Skills
- Proficient knowledge in injection molding processes and techniques.
- Strong understanding of tooling design, mould characteristics, and manufacturing methods.
- Familiarity with CAD software and other technical tools used in design and simulation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Competence in cost analysis, pricing strategies, and quotation preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering role within the injection molding industry.
- Certification from recognized institutions (such as NTTF, CIPET, or GTTC) is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing successful client relationships.
Skills & Experience
- In-depth understanding of injection molding processes and related technologies.
- Experience in sales and marketing strategies within the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in CRM software and tools for tracking sales pipelines and customer interactions.
- Strong communication skills combined with persuasive sales techniques.
- Ability to assess project costing and deliver accurate quotes to clients.
