Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in the Pune District. The Sales Engineer will identify and qualify opportunities for fire protection, ELV, and gas suppression solutions, working closely with clients to understand technical requirements and project constraints. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical and commercial proposals, conducting product presentations and system demonstrations, and supporting site surveys in collaboration with engineering and project teams. The role involves responding to client inquiries, providing pre- and post-sales technical support, and assisting in tender documentation and pricing. The Sales Engineer will maintain accurate sales pipelines, coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and installation, and foster long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and service.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to interpret technical requirements, propose appropriate solutions, and support clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Sales and Customer Service to manage leads, negotiate deals, handle client queries, and maintain long-term relationships.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and effective internal coordination.
- Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline) or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience in fire protection, ELV, or related safety systems (EPC, construction, or building services industry experience is a strong advantage).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Comfort working on-site, conducting client meetings, and visiting project locations across the Pune District and surrounding areas as required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, CRM systems) for proposals, reporting, and documentation.
