Technical Sales Engineer — Thane, Maharashtra
We are hiring a Thane-based Technical Sales Engineer to support customer handling, technical sales coordination, quotation preparation, tender management, and internal coordination for smooth order execution.
This role requires technical understanding, commercial awareness, strong follow-up discipline, and effective cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Handling & Sales Support
- Handle customer inquiries through phone, email, and online platforms
- Understand customer requirements, applications, and technical needs
- Follow up on inquiries, updates, and feedback
- Support business development and customer relationship management
Quotation & Proposal Preparation
- Prepare techno-commercial quotations based on customer requirements
- Understand costing, pricing, and commercial terms
- Ensure accuracy in specifications, pricing, and documentation
- Revise quotations based on technical discussions and commercial negotiations
Tender Management
- Support preparation of technical and commercial tender documents
- Handle tender portals such as GeM and Nexarc
- Upload documents, track submissions, and maintain tender records
- Coordinate internally for certifications, compliance documents, and drawings
Order Coordination
- Coordinate with production, purchase, quality, dispatch, and accounts teams
- Support order processing, tracking, and execution follow-up
- Ensure smooth internal communication for timely delivery
Reporting & Data Management
- Maintain customer database, inquiry tracker, and quotation records
- Track lead status, follow-ups, and order updates
- Prepare MIS and sales reports for management review
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in technical sales, quotation preparation, tender support, inside sales, or industrial sales coordination
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of industrial products, machinery, or engineering systems
- Knowledge of quotation preparation and costing fundamentals
- Exposure to tender processes and portal handling
- Strong MS Excel, Word, and reporting skills
- Good communication and coordination ability
- Attention to detail and follow-up discipline
