Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and technically sound Sales Engineer for the Mumbai region to drive sales and business development of industrial 3D printers and additive manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in engineering or hardware product sales and possess strong client-handling, technical presentation, and commercial negotiation skills.
The candidate will be responsible for generating leads, managing customer relationships, conducting product demonstrations, and achieving regional sales targets across industries such as automotive, aerospace, tooling, manufacturing, education, R&D, and industrial design.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for 3D printing solutions in the Mumbai region.
- Promote and sell industrial and professional 3D printers, materials, and related solutions.
- Conduct technical presentations, machine demonstrations, and client meetings.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable hardware solutions.
- Generate enquiries, prepare techno-commercial proposals, and close sales deals.
- Build strong relationships with OEMs, manufacturing companies, engineering firms, educational institutions, and distributors.
- Coordinate with technical and service teams for installation and post-sales support.
- Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets assigned by management.
- Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and customer follow-ups.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in additive manufacturing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in engineering sales, preferably in hardware, industrial machinery, automation products, CNC machines, robotics, or technical equipment.
- Strong understanding of industrial sales processes and B2B client management.
- Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand technical specifications and explain product applications to customers.
- Self-motivated and target-oriented personality.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Mumbai region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to 3D printing/additive manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
- Existing network in manufacturing or industrial sectors preferred.
- Experience in capital equipment sales is desirable.
