About Us and The Role
Thick&Thin Media is a full-suite event marketing agency that lives and breathes events, experiences, and culture. We specialize in building immersive festivals, exhibitions, and live properties that people remember. Our work includes large-scale experiential IPs such as Van Gogh: An Immersive Story, Indian Sneaker Festival, Musicland Mumbai, and several major cultural and lifestyle events across India.
We are looking for a Sales Director to own and scale our revenue function. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can run the full sales motion end-to-end, from lead qualification to closing. The Sales Director will own pipeline, conversions, and the playbook that gets us to consistent, predictable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & Lead Management
- Own the full sales pipeline across inbound, outbound, and referral channels.
- Qualify all incoming leads against the T&T ICP (event organizers, festival promoters, cultural IPs, D2C brands sponsoring events).
- Run structured outbound via Apollo, LinkedIn, and curated prospect lists.
- Maintain a healthy, accurate pipeline in Zoho CRM at all times.
Closing & Conversion
- Lead discovery calls, scoping conversations, and commercial pitches.
- Convert qualified leads into signed engagements.
- Negotiate scope and commercials within frameworks set with the founder.
- Hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets tied to collected revenue.
Sales Operations
- Refine the T&T sales playbook: discovery scripts, objection handling, pricing logic, proposal templates.
- Track and report on funnel metrics weekly: leads, meetings booked, show rate, close rate, average deal value, sales cycle length.
- Own CRM hygiene, lead routing, and follow-up cadences.
- Partner with the COO on lead handoff to delivery once a deal is signed.
Team Management
- Manage the existing Sales Executive and set weekly outbound, meeting, and conversion targets.
- Hire, onboard, and ramp future sales hires as the team scales.
Strategic Input
- Feed market intelligence back to the founder: common objections, pricing resistance, ICP refinement, packaging gaps.
- Co-design referral programs, partnership channels, and account expansion plays.
- Surface insights that shape new offers and verticals.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of B2B sales experience in an agency, SaaS, or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated track record of personally closing ₹50L+ in annual contract value.
- Experience selling to event organizers, lifestyle brands, F&B, D2C, or hospitality clients is a strong plus.
- Comfortable running both inbound conversion and outbound prospecting motions.
- Hands-on with CRM tooling (Zoho, HubSpot, or Salesforce), Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Working understanding of performance marketing metrics (CPC, CAC, ROAS), enough to sell the service credibly.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to hold the room with founders, CMOs, and brand managers.
- Bonus: existing network in the Indian events, lifestyle, F&B, or D2C ecosystem.
