Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Sales Director to lead the adoption and expansion of our cutting-edge IoT solutions across diverse customer segments. This role requires strategic leadership in driving revenue growth, building high-performing sales channels, and establishing strong market presence. You will oversee sales operations, develop go-to-market strategies, and foster key partnerships to accelerate business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and consistent target achievement.
• Identify, onboard, and scale retail counters, distributors, and channel partners across the territory.
• Drive product availability, visibility, and in-store branding across all partner locations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Oversee sales operations including forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking.
• Lead high-value negotiations, close strategic deals, and drive large-scale partnerships.
• Collaborate with marketing teams on co-marketing initiatives, campaigns, and brand-building activities.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine sales strategies.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
• Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and growth plans to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven track record in driving revenue growth and managing high-performing sales teams.
• Experience in consumer electronics, IoT devices, or consumer durables preferred.
• Strong understanding of channel sales, distribution networks, and market expansion strategies.
• Fluency in English and the regional language is essential.
• Proficiency in Google Suite & MS Office tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Willingness to travel for business development and client engagement.
• In-depth knowledge of the Chennai/Pondicherry business landscape.
