Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru for a Sales Development Representative specializing in B2B SaaS sales. The role involves identifying and generating qualified sales leads, engaging with potential clients, and supporting the business development and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Research and identify potential customers using tools like LinkedIn, CRM data, databases, and marketing campaigns. Build targeted lists of prospects based on ideal customer profiles (ICPs).
- Outreach (Cold Calling & Emailing): Initiate first contact with prospects via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, or other channels. Personalize outreach to grab attention and build interest.
- Lead Qualification: Systematically evaluate each prospect to determine their fit and readiness for a deeper sales conversation. Use established frameworks such as BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) or CHAMP (Challenges, Authority, Money, Prioritization) to guide the qualification process. Ensure only genuinely qualified leads - those with a real problem, interest, and potential to convert — are passed further for a demo or proposal discussion.
- Consultative Selling: Engage with decision-makers at Indian consumer brands to understand their sales, distribution, and channel engagement challenges.
- Pipeline Management: Track and manage leads, opportunities, and activities using CRM tools; ensure accurate pipeline reporting.
- Deal Support: Collaborate with senior sales team members to follow up on deals and assist in closing new business.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and leadership teams to refine outreach strategies and improve conversion rates.
What Are We Looking For?
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in SDR role.
- Domain exposure: Experience in B2B and SaaS sales, with a focus on the Indian market, is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (BBA/MBA preferred).
- Communication skills: Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills are a must.
- Sales approach: Ability to do consultative selling and a good understanding of the B2B sales cycle.
- Tools & systems: Familiarity with lead generation tools (e.g., Lusha, Apollo) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho).
- Mindset: Self-starter with a growth mindset, eager to learn and perform in a fast-paced SaaS startup environment.
