ABOUT SYLOX
At Sylox, we are architecting IRIS—India's first AI-native Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform. IRIS automatically discovers where sensitive data lives across an organization's databases, cloud storage, and SaaS apps, classifies it using AI, and maps it to regulations like DPDP, SEBI, RBI, GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.Our founders bring deep experience from Amazon, CBRE, Ameriprise, and Vialto Partners, and we are building from Pune to solve a global data-security problem.
ABOUT IRIS
IRIS is a Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform that helps security and data teams discover, classify, and secure sensitive data across their entire data estate – databases, cloud storage, and SaaS –with built-in alignment to DPDP, SEBI, RBI, GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA. We are building the “Cyera/BigID-class” data-security product for India and India-linked companies.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Your goal: put the founder in front of the right CISOs / Heads of Security / CTOs at high-fit accounts. You will not be closing deals; you will be opening the right doors.
• ICP-driven prospecting
o Build and maintain a focused list of target accounts:
o SaaS / cloud-native tech, fintech, and healthtech companies with 200–2,000 employees in India (and select India-linked US firms).
o Identify the right personas: CISO, Head of Information Security, Cloud Security Architect, Data Platform Lead, CTO.
• Outbound outreach & sequencing
o Craft and run multi-touch outbound sequences (email, LinkedIn, calls) that speak to:
o Unknown locations of sensitive data across cloud / SaaS.
o DPDP / SEBI / RBI pressure and data-breach risk.
o The need for DSPM-style visibility (Cyera / BigID / Wiz class) at India-appropriate pricing.
o Personalize outreach using signals like tech stack, recent funding, regulatory news, or
security hires.
• Qualifying opportunities
o Run 15–20 minute intro calls to
o Confirm they handle regulated personal/financial/health data Understand their cloud/data environment at a high level.
o Identify clear triggers (audits, DPDP project, customer security questionnaires, recent incidents).
o Screen out “compliance-only” buyers who just want SOC 2 checklists without real data-security intent.
• Scheduling high-value meetings
o Book well-qualified discovery + demo meetings with the founder and relevant stakeholders.
o Prepare concise notes (account context, infra, triggers, people) for each meeting.
• Feedback loop
o Capture objections and language from the field and feed it back into:
o Messaging and outreach experiments.
o Ideal customer refinement (which segments convert best).
IDEAL PROFILE
• 2–4 years of SDR / BDR experience in B2B security, data, or dev-tools selling into technical buyers (CISOs, security teams, DevOps, data engineering).
• Proven track record of:
o Generating pipeline via outbound in mid-market or enterprise accounts.
o Booking meetings that led to real opportunities, not just vanity demos.
o Comfortable talking at a basic level about: o Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), databases, data warehouses, SaaS.
o Security / data concepts like PII, data exposure, access control.
o Strong written communication in English; able to write concise, non-spammy emails and LinkedIn messages targeted at senior security leaders.
o Curiosity and willingness to learn DSPM space deeply (we will train you on IRIS, DSPM, and India-specific data types).
