Role Overview
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Siftly.ai, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients. You will play a pivotal role in building and accelerating our sales pipeline by identifying, engaging, and qualifying high-potential leads through outbound and inbound channels. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives on hustle, creativity, and the energy of a fast-growing AI startup.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Research and identify target accounts and decision-makers (CMOs, Heads of Marketing, Digital Marketing Managers, Founders) in mid-market and enterprise B2B companies
- Execute multi-channel outbound campaigns via cold email, LinkedIn outreach, cold calling, and social selling
- Personalize messaging based on prospect’s industry, company size, current SEO/GEO maturity, and pain points
- Leverage tools like Apollo.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clay, CRM tools, and Instantly.ai to build and manage prospect lists
Lead Qualification & Discovery
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect pain points around AI search visibility, SEO performance, and digital marketing ROI
- Qualify leads using BANT/MEDDIC frameworks (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline)
- Assess fit based on company size, industry, digital maturity, and willingness to invest in AI-powered solutions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM with detailed notes on every interaction
Pipeline Development & Handoff
- Book qualified meetings and product demos for Account Executives / Founders
- Achieve and exceed weekly/monthly KPIs: calls made, emails sent, LinkedIn touches, meetings booked, and qualified opportunities generated
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align messaging, share prospect insights, and improve lead quality
- Provide feedback on market trends, competitive landscape, and common objections to refine sales strategy
Product & Market Knowledge
- Develop deep understanding of Siftly.ai’s GEO platform, SEO/GEO audit capabilities, and competitive positioning
- Stay current on AI search trends (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini) and how they impact businesses
- Articulate the value proposition of AI search visibility to prospects in a clear, compelling, and consultative manner
Requirements
Must-Have
- 3–5 years of experience in a B2B SaaS SDR, BDR, or Inside Sales role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline generation and meeting-booking targets
- Strong cold calling, cold emailing, and LinkedIn prospecting skills
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools and sales engagement platforms (Apollo.io, Outreach, Clay, heyreach, sales navigator, Instantly.ai)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Nice-to-Have
- Experience selling SEO, digital marketing, MarTech, or AI/SaaS products
- Familiarity with SEO concepts, content marketing, and the emerging GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) space
- Experience selling to marketing leaders, agency owners, or C-suite in mid-market/enterprise companies
- Exposure to consultative or solution-based selling methodologies
- Prior experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup
