Job details:
The role in one line.
Identify, research, and qualify high-potential individuals and institutional partners as AIWO clients by building trust and demonstrating value in measurable longer healthspan — setting up long-term relationships for the sales team to close and grow.
About AIWO & Why This Role Exists
AIWO is building a longevity and wellness ecosystem — premium memberships, clinical longevity programs, advanced diagnostics (including biological-age and epigenetic testing), executive health systems, wellness retreats and science-backed supplement programs — all sold on a single promise: a longer, healthier, higher-performing life. Revenue across this ecosystem does not come from one-off transactions. It compounds on trust, outcomes, renewals and referrals.
This role is foundational to that promise. AIWO does not need someone who blasts volume and moves on. It needs a development representative who can identify discerning, often affluent prospects, research their needs and goals, translate clinical evidence into a compelling case for AIWO, build genuine rapport, and qualify opportunities for the sales team to close. The person in this seat owns pipeline quality — and is measured as much on conversion rate and prospect engagement as on meeting volume targets.
What You'll Own
• Prospecting and lead research across the ecosystem. Identify, research and reach out to potential clients in consumer, corporate (executive health), clinic / hospital and strategic-partner segments. Use a mix of cold outreach, social selling and inbound engagement to build initial contact.
• Qualification and discovery conversations. Conduct initial conversations with prospects to understand their health goals, longevity concerns, and fit for AIWO. Ask thoughtful questions and listen — the goal is to qualify and build interest, not to close.
• Pipeline building and progression. Move qualified leads through a defined pipeline stage (demo request, interest validated, ready for handoff). Maintain accurate records in the CRM and ensure smooth handoff to the sales consultant for closing.
• Consultative positioning at the top of the funnel. Introduce AIWO's value proposition with authority and clarity. Learn and convey the clinical narrative in a way that resonates with prospects — no overselling or feature-dumping.
• Win the first conversation. Your job is to earn a meeting, build enough credibility that the prospect says 'yes, I'm interested,' and set the sales consultant up to close. You own conversion from 'cold' to 'qualified opportunity.'
• Support channel and partnership development. Assist with outreach to corporate, clinic, hospital and strategic-partner channels. Help AIWO identify and approach B2B opportunities.
• Run a clean, disciplined pipeline. Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting and consistent activity metrics. Bring data discipline and transparency to your outreach efforts.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, you are fully ramped on the ecosystem and the clinical narrative, running a consistent outreach rhythm with quality conversations and healthy conversion rates to qualified opportunities.
Who You Are — Must-Haves
• Outbound sales or prospecting experience. You have cold-called, cold-emailed or socially-prospected into discerning audiences and know how to earn a first conversation without being pushy or transactional.
• Coachability on domain material. You may not have sold health, wellness or clinical products, but you are eager to learn and can absorb and convey complex, scientific material with clarity and authority.
• Consultative instinct. You ask good questions and listen more than you talk. You can assess fit and interest without the pressure to close — knowing when to move a prospect forward and when to respectfully pass.
• CRM fluency. You are comfortable using a modern CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce) and disciplined about logging calls, updates and next steps.
• Communication skills. You can engage professional, affluent and executive-level prospects with respect and clarity — in calls, emails and LinkedIn messages. You listen well and adapt your approach.
• Activity and resilience. You are comfortable with a high-activity role (outreach, follow-ups, meetings). You don't get discouraged by rejection and you stay consistent.
• Based in — or willing to relocate to — Chennai. This is an on-site role within the Founder's Office orbit.
Strong Pluses
• Prior experience in healthcare, pharma, diagnostics or wellness sales.
• Experience prospecting into corporate, clinic or hospital clients.
• Familiarity with health coaching, executive health or corporate wellness programs.
• Exposure to a startup or build-from-scratch sales environment.
• Comfort interpreting basic biomarker or clinical data.
• Use of sales engagement tools (Apollo, ZoomInfo, Hunter, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) for research and outreach.
This Is Not the Right Role For You If…
• You expect to close most deals yourself. This role hands off to a sales consultant — your success is measured on qualified pipeline, not closed deals.
• You dislike prospecting or prefer a fully-booked calendar of inbound meetings. Cold outreach and follow-up are core to this role.
• You treat every conversation as a sales pitch. The best SDRs are researchers and listeners first, sellers second.
• You are uncomfortable learning and conveying scientific or clinical material to a discerning buyer.
• You need a guaranteed, heavily base-weighted compensation. This role's upside is tied to activity, conversion and pipeline quality.
The One Thing This Role Must Get Right
AIWO is not hiring someone to spam prospects or push them toward a demo. It is hiring someone who can do genuine research, ask intelligent questions, build initial credibility around longevity and healthspan, and identify when a prospect is genuinely interested — creating a warm handoff, not a cold transfer. Consultative instinct and listen-first mindset outweigh raw call volume every time.
Compensation & Selection
• Compensation. Base salary plus performance-linked incentive tied to activities (outreach, meetings held) and conversion metrics (lead-to-qualified conversion rate, pipeline progression). Reward tracks the quality pipeline you build, not arbitrary volume.
• How we select. A structured interview probing real prospecting experience; a live prospecting exercise where you research an actual AIWO prospect and pitch a meeting; and reference checks before any offer.
