Position Overview
Position Title: Sales Development Intern - Lead Generation & Outreach
Reports To: Founder
Employment Type: Internship (Hybrid). 2 Days per week from office.
Location: Hyderabad
Duration: 3 months (renewable based on performance)
Start Date: 4th May 2026
Role Overview
This is a hybrid internship role for a Sales Development Intern focusing on Lead Generation and Outreach. The intern will be responsible for researching potential leads, managing customer databases, and identifying new opportunities for client outreach. Additional tasks include developing and executing sales strategies, engaging in direct communication with prospects, and maintaining a high level of customer service to ensure successful collaborations. Interns will also work to support sales activities and track performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Research & Database Building
- Research and identify college management contacts and corporate HR decision-makers in target sectors (banking, finance, tech, healthcare, retail, education).
- Build and maintain lead lists segmented by college tier, corporate size, and industry vertical.
- Use LinkedIn, college websites, and company directories to collect verified contact information.
- Update and clean the CRM with lead data and engagement notes.
Outreach & Engagement
- Execute cold email and LinkedIn outreach campaigns to warm leads with Zaufany's training programs.
- Follow up on emails and LinkedIn messages with professionalism and persistence.
- Document all outreach activity - contacted party, message sent, response received, next steps.
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from prospects and route them appropriately.
Meeting Scheduling & Qualification
- Book discovery calls with qualified prospects.
- Validate that a prospect meets "Lead Quality Criteria" (DM available, decision-maker reachable, budget / timeline realistic) before handing off.
- Prepare meeting briefs (prospect company, pain points, relevant program) to brief the founder before calls.
- Ensure all meetings are logged in CRM with attendee names, discussion points, and agreed next steps.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate pipeline health. Log all interactions, next follow-up dates, and deal stage.
- Weekly sync with founder: report total outreach volume, leads generated, conversion metrics.
- Proactively flag and identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
Learning & Collaboration
- Participate in demo calls and sales pitches to learn positioning, objection handling, and close techniques.
- Attend weekly sales huddles to review performance, troubleshoot challenges, and refine outreach approach.
- Provide feedback on email templates, pitch decks, and course positioning based on prospect feedback.
- Actively participate in scripting and role-play sessions to improve pitch delivery.
Compensation Structure
Base Stipend: ₹5,000/month
Lead Bonus: ₹1,000 per valid verified lead.
Closure Bonus: 5% of contract value for any college or corporate training program closure directly sourced by intern.

Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree or recent graduate (any discipline).
- Strong written and verbal communication in English; fluent in other Indian languages a plus.
- Self-driven, organized, and comfortable with repetitive, outcome-focused tasks.
- Basic CRM and email proficiency; willingness to learn tools quickly.
- Reliable laptop + stable internet connection; ability to work independently with weekly check-ins and clear feedback.
Preferred
- Pursuing or completed MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management.
- Prior experience with cold calling, email outreach, or lead generation (internship / part-time).
- Familiarity with B2B sales or SaaS; knowledge of EdTech / training sector.
- Hyderabad-based and comfortable with occasional in-person meet.
