Role ObjectiveTo manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle- from capturing digital enquiries on B2B portals to coordinating logistics and ensuring timely payment. The ideal candidate will act as the central point of contact for clients, the warehouse, and the accounts team to ensure seamless business operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Lead Management & Digital Enquiries- Portal Management: Daily monitoring and prompt response to enquiries from IndiaMart, Trade India, and other B2B platforms.
- Enquiry Conversion: Qualifying leads from digital portals, understanding their technical requirements (grades like IS 2062, specific dimensions), and converting them into active sales opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintaining and re-engaging with previous clients to generate repeat orders and cross-sell new steel products.
2. Sales Documentation & Operations- Quotation Making: Preparing professional and accurate quotations based on current steel market rates.
- Data Sheet Maintenance: Managing comprehensive Excel/Google Sheets to track daily enquiries, follow-up status, and conversion rates.
- Order Processing: Creating Proforma Invoices (PI) and Sales Orders once a deal is closed.
3. Dispatch & Logistics Planning- Dispatch Coordination: Working closely with the yard/warehouse to plan the loading and dispatch of steel structural items.
- Documentation: Handling the preparation of delivery challans, packing lists, and coordinating with transporters for timely vehicle placement.
- Bill Generation: Ensuring GST-compliant invoices are raised accurately for every dispatch.
4. Financial Coordination & Payment Planning- Payment Follow-ups: Proactively tracking outstanding payments and coordinating with clients to ensure collections stay within the credit period.
- Payment Planning: Creating weekly/monthly collection forecasts for the management.
- Ledger Reconciliation: Assisting the accounts department in reconciling client ledgers and resolving any billing discrepancies.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in Sales Coordination, preferably in Steel, Pipes, or Building Materials.
- Technical Proficiency: * Hands-on experience with IndiaMart and Trade India seller dashboards.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (VLookup, Pivot Tables) for data sheets.
- Familiarity with ERP software or Tally (for billing and dispatch).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle professional calls and draft official emails- Hindi, Marathi and English.
- Product Knowledge: Basic understanding of steel structural products (MS Pipes, GI Tubes, Beams, Channels, and Angles).
