Position Overview
The Sales Compensation Consultant (Xactly Admin & Configuration) is responsible for owning the end‑to‑end technical and operational management of Xactly Incent/Connect. This role will ensure accurate plan configuration, seamless data flows, timely payouts, and strong governance across the sales compensation lifecycle. The analyst partners closely with Sales Operations, Finance, HR, and IT to translate business rules into scalable Xactly logic.
Key Responsibilities
Xactly Administration & Configuration
- Configure, test, and deploy compensation plans, crediting rules, rate tables, lookup tables, and calculation logic within Xactly Incent.
- Maintain and optimize Xactly Connect integrations, including data pipelines, automated jobs, and error handling.
- Manage user provisioning, roles, permissions, and security settings.
- Build and maintain workflows, dashboards, and reporting within Xactly.
- Perform regular system audits to ensure data integrity, calculation accuracy, and alignment with plan documentation.
- Lead annual plan rollout activities, including modeling, configuration updates, and regression testing.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work with Sales Ops and HR to translate plan designs into system‑ready requirements.
- Collaborate with IT/Data Engineering to maintain stable integrations and troubleshoot data issues.
- Support leadership with compensation insights, performance trends, and compliance reporting.
Qualifications
- 0-2+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, or related analytics roles.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills with ability to interpret and maintain complex worksheets.
- Hands‑on experience administering Xactly Incent (required); Xactly Connect or Xactly Analytics strongly preferred.
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large datasets.
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce preferred) and HRIS/ERP systems.
- Ability to interpret compensation plan documents and convert them into technical configuration logic.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
