Key Responsibilities1. Sales Calling & Lead Conversion- Make outbound calls to potential clients (government departments, institutions, and private buyers)
- Generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Follow up on inquiries and close deals efficiently
- Maintain daily call reports and sales pipeline
2. GeM Portal Management- Handle end-to-end operations on the GeM portal
- Product listing, catalogue management, and price updates
- Participate in bids, reverse auctions, and direct purchase processes
- Track orders, ensure timely fulfilment, and coordinate with internal teams
- Monitor the GeM dashboard for new opportunities and tenders
3. Coordination & Operations- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics teams
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with government orders
- Handle client queries and after-sales support
- Maintain records of orders, invoices, and payments
Required Skills & Qualifications- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in telecalling / sales (preferred)
- Knowledge of GeM portal operations (highly preferred)
- Basic understanding of government procurement processes
- Good with MS Excel / basic computer operations
- Ability to work independently and meet targets
Preferred Candidate Profile- Prior experience in GeM or the government supply business
- Sales-driven mindset with a focus on revenue growth
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Quick learner with problem-solving ability
