Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune for a Sales Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth for, our AI-powered automation and engagement platform. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, implementing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth. The role also involves overseeing the sales pipeline, preparing proposals, conducting market research, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal teams for successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure customer requirements are met while achieving organizational goals. They should have experience in SaaS/technology sales and be comfortable selling AI, automation, chatbot, CRM, or digital transformation solutions in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Pipeline Development
- Identify and target potential enterprise and mid-market clients
- Generate leads via outbound prospecting (calls, LinkedIn, email campaigns)
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Qualify prospects based on business fit and decision-making authority
Consultative AI Solution Selling
- Understand client challenges in customer engagement, automation, lead management, or support processes
- Position it as a solution to improve efficiency, conversions, and operational cost
- Conduct product demos and solution walkthroughs
- Work with technical teams to customize proposals where required
End-to-End Sales Cycle Management
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
- Prepare proposals, pricing structures, and commercial documentation
- Negotiate contracts and close deals
- Maintain consistent follow-ups to accelerate closures
Revenue & Target Ownership
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Maintain strong demo-to-closure conversion rates
- Focus on upselling AI modules and cross-selling related services
- Ensure pipeline coverage aligns with revenue targets
Client Relationship & Market Intelligence
- Build long-term relationships with clients
- Ensure smooth handover to implementation team
- Gather feedback and share insights for product improvement
- Track competitor activity and industry trends
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS/technology sales
- Strong understanding of AI, automation, chatbots, CRM, or enterprise solutions
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication (verbal & written)
- Comfortable working in a startup, high-growth environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling AI or automation solutions
- Exposure to BFSI, EdTech, E-commerce, Healthcare, or Enterprise clients
- Understanding of enterprise sales cycles
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics platforms
