Job Summary
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Sales Intern to support our Sales & Business Development team in acquiring new customers and nurturing relationships with existing clients. This role offers hands-on exposure to lead generation, prospect outreach, client engagement, and identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities across our products and services, including the sale and licensing of digital content such as Shutterstock assets (images, videos, and creative resources).
Key ResponsibilitiesNew Account Hunting
- Research and identify potential customers through online platforms, databases, and market research
- Generate and qualify leads via cold calling, emails, LinkedIn, and other outreach channels
- Assist in scheduling meetings and product demonstrations with prospective clients
- Maintain and update prospect and lead data in the CRM system
- Identify potential clients and agencies requiring stock images, videos, and creative assets via Shutterstock
Client Engagement
- Support ongoing communication with existing clients to understand their business needs and challenges
- Assist in preparing sales proposals, presentations, and follow-up materials
- Ensure timely and consistent follow-ups with prospects and clients to maintain strong engagement
- Educate clients on Shutterstock offerings, licensing models, and usage benefits
Upselling & Cross-Selling
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services to existing clients
- Promote relevant Shutterstock plans, subscriptions, and content bundles based on client requirements
- Support the sales team in communicating value propositions and key benefits to customers
- Track customer feedback and share insights with sales and product teams
Sales Support & Reporting
- Prepare basic sales reports, pipeline updates, and activity trackers
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on campaigns and outreach initiatives
- Learn and follow the organization’s sales processes and best practices
- Track Shutterstock-related leads, conversions, and client usage trends
Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen interest in sales, business development, and client relationship management
- Interest or familiarity with digital media, stock content platforms (e.g., Shutterstock), or creative licensing is a plus
- Basic working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools (preferred)
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
