Ruter| ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is not a routine sales job.
As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in taking Ruter to the market and helping
recruitment firms discover a platform/software built for their real-world challenges.
This is a field-based B2B sales role focused on selling Ruter, (WorkSymphony's recruitment software), to recruitment firms and talent acquisition businesses.
You will meet decision-makers across recruitment firms, staffing businesses, and talent acquisition teams,
understand their pain points, demonstrate the value of Ruter, and convert strong conversations into long-term
client relationships.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident in the field, strong in communication, commercially sharp, and
excited by the idea of selling a product with real market relevance.
You will work closely with the founder, gain direct exposure to business-building, and have the opportunity to
grow quickly with the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and connect with recruitment firms, staffing companies, and talent acquisition-focused businesses across Pune and Mumbai
• Generate leads through field activity, meetings, networking, follow-ups, and referrals
• Schedule and conduct in-person meetings with prospective clients
• Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrate how Ruter can solve client challenges
• Own the sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation and closure
• Maintain accurate records of meetings, follow-ups, pipeline progress, and conversions
• Share market feedback, prospect objections, and customer insights with the leadership team
• Build strong professional relationships that can lead to repeat business, referrals, and account expansion
• Represent WorkSymphony and Ruter with professionalism in every external interaction
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• 2 to 4 years of experience in B2B field sales for software
• Prior exposure to software, SaaS, HR tech, staffing, recruitment solutions, or service-based sales will be preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Confidence in meeting clients face-to-face and handling business conversations independently
• A consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
• High ownership, discipline, and self-motivation
• Comfortable with daily travel across Pune and occasional travel to Mumbai
• Good understanding of recruitment, hiring, or HR-related business environments will be an advantage
• Fluency in English and Hindi is required
• Candidates based in Pune, or ready to relocate immediately, will be preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Fixed Salary: ₹4,50,000 to ₹6,00,000 per annum
Incentives: Performance-linked incentives
