Company Description
Votum is an AI platform built for legal and compliance work — used by law firms, government departments, and investigative agencies. The core product covers legal research and precedent retrieval, contract drafting, OCR and document ingestion, transcription, translation, and case management, deployed on-premise or in hybrid environments where data sovereignty is non-negotiable.
Role Description
Full-time hybrid role based in Ahmedabad, with some flexibility to work remotely. You'll be doing the actual work of early-stage BD: finding the right contacts in law firms and government departments, qualifying them, and helping move conversations forward. That means market research, lead generation, maintaining a clean pipeline, and supporting the team on client communication and proposals. This is a founder-adjacent role — you'll see how enterprise deals in the legal-tech space actually get built.
Qualifications
- Can do structured research and turn it into something actionable — not just summarize, but find the angle
- Communicates clearly in writing and in calls; knows how to adjust tone for a government official vs. a law firm partner
- Comfortable working without a playbook — we'll give you context, not a script
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Law, Marketing, or a related field
- Prior BD or sales experience is a plus, but hustle and good judgment matter more
