Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sales Business Analyst with strong expertise in SAP SD and S/4 HANA to support sales transformation initiatives, optimize order-to-cash processes, and enable effective system implementations. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between sales/business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring SAP solutions align with commercial, revenue, and customer experience objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements related to sales, distribution, pricing, and billing processes.
- Engage with sales, customer service, finance, and logistics stakeholders to define As-Is and To-Be processes.
- Conduct GAP analysis and recommend best-practice SAP SD solutions.
- Prepare Business Blueprint documents, functional specifications (FS), user stories, and process flow diagrams.
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams (ABAP, integration, middleware).
SAP Sales & Distribution (SD)
- Configure and support core SAP SD processes including:
- Organizational structure (Sales Org, Distribution Channel, Division)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycle
- Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, Delivery, Billing
- Returns, Credit/Debit memo processing
- Design and maintain pricing procedures, condition records, discounts, surcharges, and taxes.
- Support availability check (ATP), transfer of requirements (TOR), and delivery scheduling.
- Configure billing scenarios including standard billing, proforma, milestone billing, and intercompany billing.
- Manage credit management processes (classic / FSCM integration awareness).
Logistics & Cross-Module Integration
- Ensure seamless integration between SD and:
- FI (billing, revenue recognition, tax posting, accounts receivable)
- MM (third-party sales, dropship, stock transfers)
- PP (make-to-order scenarios)
- WM / EWM (delivery and shipping processes – conceptual understanding)
- Support intercompany sales and cross-company billing processes.
S/4 HANA & Advanced Sales Capabilities
- Work on S/4 HANA SD simplifications such as:
- Business Partner (BP) concept replacing customer master
- Simplified data model for pricing and billing
- Support advanced functionalities like:
- Output management using BRF+
- Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR – conceptual understanding)
- Collaborate on Fiori app enablement for sales and billing processes.
Data Migration & Implementation
- Participate in end-to-end SAP implementations and rollouts using ASAP / Activate methodology.
- Support data migration activities for customers, pricing, open sales orders, and billing documents.
- Assist with cutover planning, mock runs, and go-live execution.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT cycles with business users.
Reporting & Analytics
- Support standard SAP SD reports for sales performance, backlog, billing, and delivery monitoring.
- Work with reporting teams on sales dashboards, profitability analysis, and customer analytics.
- Provide insights to improve revenue realization, order fulfillment, and customer satisfaction.
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide post go-live support and resolve incidents within defined SLA timelines.
- Support month-end and quarter-end sales and billing activities.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, simplification, and automation.
- Develop training materials and conduct end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- MBA in Marketing / Operations / Finance, B.Com, or equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP SD (R/3 and S/4 HANA).
- Strong knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes and pricing configuration.
- Experience in SAP implementation, rollout, and support projects.
- Good understanding of integration between SD, FI, MM, and PP.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience working with global users and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and cloud environments (e.g., Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of GST and Indian taxation from a sales & billing perspective.
- Exposure to CRM, CX, or SAP C/4HANA integrations.
- Familiarity with reporting tools and Fiori analytics.
