Job Description: Sales & Application Engineer – Bangalore
Experience: 3+ Years
Position in the Organization:
- Sales Engineer / Application Sales Engineer reporting to National Sales Manager &
Country Manager.
- Works closely with the sales, service, and internal support teams.
Aim of the Job:
- Provide technical and commercial support for measurement and control instrumentation.
- Deliver customer‑specific solutions and first‑line technical assistance.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to regional & national business growth.
- Strengthen customer relationships and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Customer Development
- Identify and acquire new customers while managing existing accounts.
- Conduct regular customer visits in Karnataka & Kerala.
- Understand customer requirements and align solutions accordingly.
- Negotiate prices, discounts, and commercial terms.
- Follow up on proposals, opportunities, and outstanding payments.
2. Application Engineering
- Analyze applications, process flows, and system requirements. Engage with customer’s
R&D, Instrumentation and Process Teams
- Recommend suitable products from Bronkhorst's portfolio.
- Coordinate with internal teams to develop customer‑specific solutions.
- Provide technical presentations, demonstrations, and on‑site support.
- Assist in installation, troubleshooting, and after‑sales activities.
3. Sales Operations & Reporting
- Prepare accurate techno‑commercial quotations.
- Maintain project tracking from enquiry to order execution.
- Register customer visits and maintain CRM documentation.
- Prepare monthly sales analysis and identify improvement actions.
- Submit periodic sales reports and forecasts to management.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Identify potential business opportunities.
- Participate in trade fairs, seminars, and industry events.
- Support strategic planning and annual budget preparation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication
Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial sales/application engineering.
- Strong understanding of measurement & control instrumentation.
- Ability to interpret datasheets, P&IDs, and process documents.
- Experience with flow meters, controllers, transmitters, valves, or related systems.
- Strong English communication; Kannada/Hindi is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and technical presentations.
- Willingness to travel frequently; bike/car travel preferred.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive customer‑centric mindset.
Working Location:
- Home Office: Bangalore
- Willingness to travel to customers and India office in Pune.
