During the probation period (up to 3 months), compensation will be ₹20,000 per month + performance-based commission.
Upon successful completion of probation, the offered compensation will be CTC: ₹4.5 LPA, based on performance and role fit.
This role operates within an early-stage startup environment and requires a high degree of ownership, flexibility, and hands-on execution.
Availability for weekend work is mandatory based on business requirements. Compensatory off will be provided in accordance with company policy.

ABOUT URU FARMS
URU Farms is an early-stage, farm-to-table food enterprise focused on naturally grown grains, staples, dairy, and clean-label products.
The organization operates on:
• Own-land farming
• Natural farming practices
• Native grains and traditional processing methods (stone-ground)
• Direct-to-consumer distribution
The company is currently in a 0 to 1 stage, with systems, processes, and customer channels being developed from the ground up.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Sales & Operations Associate will be responsible for supporting customer acquisition and executing day-to-day business operations.
The role requires active involvement across sales, customer engagement, on-ground customer outreach, and operational coordination. The selected candidate will work closely with the founding team and contribute to building systems and workflows from the ground up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development
• Identify and engage potential customers including retail outlets, cafés, residential communities, and institutional buyers
• Conduct outreach through calls, messaging platforms, and in-person visits
• Drive customer acquisition through structured follow-ups and on-ground activities
• Visit residential communities, retail outlets, and partner locations for customer acquisition and relationship building
• Support on-ground activities such as product sampling, stalls, and promotional events
• Clearly communicate product value proposition, sourcing practices, and pricing
• Support execution of sales initiatives including offers, subscriptions, and campaigns
• Maintain accurate and updated records of leads and customer interactions
Operations & Order Management
• Manage the order lifecycle from confirmation to delivery
• Track inventory, payments, and customer feedback
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including packaging, processing, and logistics
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Reporting & Coordination
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on sales, leads, and operational activities
• Track key performance metrics including lead conversion and repeat business
• Collect structured customer feedback and market insights
• Assist in building brand presence within target customer segments
• Coordinate with the founding team on execution, planning, and issue resolution
• Recommend process improvements based on field observations
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage customer interactions across channels
• Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Capability to manage follow-ups and operational tracking
• High level of ownership and accountability
• Willingness to work in a dynamic and unstructured environment
• Interest in sustainability, food systems, or natural products
PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in sales, operations, FMCG, food, retail, or D2C
• Freshers may apply if they demonstrate strong execution ability and ownership
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Comfortable working across both field and operational functions
WORK STRUCTURE
• Full-time role based in Hyderabad
• Involves both on-ground customer outreach and operational responsibilities
• Availability for weekend work is mandatory based on business requirements
• Role responsibilities and schedules may evolve in line with business needs
COMPENSATION
• ₹20,000 per month + performance-based commission during probation (up to 3 months)
• CTC: ₹4.5 LPA post-probation, based on performance and role fit
