Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Chakan for a Sales and Marketing Management Trainee. The selected candidate will assist in generating sales, developing relationships with customers, and supporting marketing activities to drive business growth. As part of the role, the trainee will participate in customer meetings, provide training and product demonstrations, and contribute to the development of sales strategies. The role offers opportunities for professional development and hands-on experience in both sales and marketing disciplines.
- Learn company products and applications (Industrial/Engineering products).
- Assist senior sales team in customer visits and meetings.
- Identify new customers and generate leads through calls, emails, and market visits.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, inquiries, and orders.
- Coordinate with internal departments like production, dispatch, and accounts.
- Maintain customer database and update daily sales activities.
- Provide after-sales support and handle customer queries.
- Prepare sales reports and MIS updates.
- Participate in exhibitions, client meetings, and marketing activities.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage effectively with clients and address their needs
- Knowledge of Sales and Sales Management techniques to drive business growth and meet targets
- Experience or ability to provide Training and deliver product demonstrations to customers
- Proficient organizational and time management skills
- Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical with Mandatory MBA in Marketing is preferred
- Familiarity with the plastics manufacturing industry or technical sales is an advantage
- Good communication & presentation skills
- Basic knowledge of sales and marketing
- Strong convincing and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in field sales
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Email, Word)
- Willingness to travel for client visits
