About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Knitted Fabric Marketing Executive based in Tirupur to drive business development and manage customer relationships for our knit dye house operations in Sholapur. This is a field-heavy, customer-facing role that demands equal parts commercial acumen and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Customer Management
- Drive business development in the Tirupur apparel sector to achieve a monthly sales or job work order volume of 100 tons of finished knitted fabric.
- Identify, acquire, and retain customers across the Tirupur garment and fabric ecosystem
- Manage the full order cycle — from inquiry and sampling to order confirmation and delivery follow-up
- Build long-term relationships with buying houses, garment manufacturers, and fabric traders
Order & Production Coordination
- Communicate customer requirements (fabric specs, colour standards, finish, GSM, construction) clearly to the production team in Sholapur
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery as per customer commitments
- Coordinate on bulk approvals, lab dips, and shade confirmations
Technical Problem Solving (Critical Requirement)
- Visit customer sites or production floors when quality issues arise and provide on-the-spot resolution
- Diagnose and resolve common knit fabric defects including:
- Shade variation / side-to-side / top-to-bottom variation
- Patchy dyeing
- White lines / streaks
- Pinholes
- Fabric hand feel or shrinkage complaints
- Liaise between the customer and the dye house technical team to close complaints quickly and professionally
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in fabric marketing, preferably in knit dyeing, processing, or greige fabric trading
- Location: Must be based in and operate out of Tirupur
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of knit fabric constructions (single jersey, interlock, rib, fleece, etc.), dyeing processes, and common processing defects
- Commercial Skills: Proven track record of generating and managing business in the Tirupur market
- Communication: Ability to manage customer expectations professionally and handle escalations calmly
- Mobility: Comfortable with regular local travel within Tirupur and nearby clusters
