About the Role
We are looking for a driven Sales & Business Development professional to support the commercialization of PolyProtic’s specialty chemical portfolio, particularly in critical mineral extraction, advanced phosphorus chemistries, and performance additives.
The role involves global market development, customer engagement, and translating market needs into product opportunities, working closely with R&D and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth for key product lines including metal extractants (Co, Ni, Mn, REEs), specialty phosphorus compounds, and related chemistries
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing products
- Identify and develop new customers and applications in mining, recycling, and specialty chemical sectors (India and international markets)
- Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and coordinate with internal teams for solution development
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders
- Represent PolyProtic at industry conferences, exhibitions, and customer meetings
- Support commercial negotiations, pricing strategy, and business planning
- Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product commercialization
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales/business development in the specialty chemicals sector
- Experience in metal extraction, mining, recycling is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry or related field (MBA is a plus)
- Strong understanding of global specialty chemical markets and value chains

- Strong commercial and technical understanding of chemical products
- Ability to translate market insights into product opportunities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a startup environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, sourcing, and manufacturing teams
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
