Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Sales and Application Engineer at DIRAK India. The Sales and Application Engineer will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and recommend appropriate latching, hinging, and gasketing solutions for enclosure applications. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering technical presentations, supporting product selection and configuration, responding to technical inquiries, and providing pre- and post-sales application support. The role involves collaborating with internal engineering and production teams, assisting in proposal and quotation development, and contributing to product demonstrations, trials, and customer training. The Sales and Application Engineer will also help identify new business opportunities, maintain customer relationships, and provide feedback to improve products and solutions based on field experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills to manage customer relationships, develop opportunities, and support the full sales cycle.
- Candidates should possess solid Technical Support skills to troubleshoot application issues and provide clear technical guidance to customers.
- Candidates should possess a foundation in Mechanical Engineering to understand enclosure construction, latching, hinging, and gasketing applications.
- Candidates should possess knowledge in Electrical Engineering to support customers working with electrical enclosures and related systems.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field), along with experience in industrial or enclosure components, are beneficial.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to interpret technical drawings, and comfort working remotely with cross-functional teams are important.
- Experience with industrial customers in sectors such as energy distribution, machinery, rail, HVAC, or similar environments is an advantage.
- Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools, a customer-focused mindset, and willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits or site support are beneficial.
