Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Sales and Application Engineer at DIRAK India. The role involves identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, managing customer relationships, and promoting DIRAK’s enclosure components and panel fittings to industrial and commercial clients. The Sales and Application Engineer will provide technical support, interpret customer requirements, and propose suitable mechanical and electrical solutions that align with product capabilities. Daily responsibilities include preparing technical presentations, responding to technical queries, coordinating with internal engineering and production teams, and supporting application design and installation guidance. The role also includes preparing quotations, participating in online meetings or customer visits as needed, tracking opportunities in a CRM system, and contributing feedback to product development and improvement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, negotiation, and closing.
- Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering skills related to enclosure construction, latching, hinging, and gasketing applications.
- Candidates should possess relevant Electrical Engineering skills for understanding and supporting mechanically and electronically functioning components.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support skills, including troubleshooting, application guidance, and clear communication of technical information to customers.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in industrial components, panel fittings, enclosure systems, or related industries is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with basic office software, CRM tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is an advantage.
