Role Description The Sales and Application Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for driving technical sales and providing application support for DIRAK India’s enclosure components and panel fittings. This role involves identifying customer requirements, proposing suitable product solutions, preparing technical and commercial offers, and supporting customers through the entire sales cycle. The individual will collaborate with internal teams to address technical queries, assist in product selection and customization, and provide training or demonstrations to customers and partners. Daily activities include responding to inquiries, delivering presentations, supporting field sales, and maintaining accurate records of opportunities, proposals, and customer feedback. The role also requires staying current on product developments, industry standards, and competitor offerings to effectively position DIRAK India’s solutions in the market.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills to identify customer needs, present solutions, and close opportunities.
- Candidates should possess solid Technical Support capabilities to address application questions, troubleshoot issues, and guide customers in product usage.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Mechanical Engineering to understand enclosure design, latching, hinging, and gasketing applications.
- Candidates should possess relevant Electrical Engineering understanding to support applications involving energy distribution, control panels, and related systems.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, along with proficiency in basic office and CRM tools.
- Relevant experience in industrial components, panel fittings, or enclosure systems is beneficial, as is familiarity with standards in sectors such as rail, HVAC, and food processing.
- A diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field) and prior experience in a similar sales or application engineering role are preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and travel occasionally to customer sites when required.
