Software Engineering Intern

SAIC is seeking a software engineering intern to join our cloud infrastructure group, which specializes in supporting repeatable deployments using infrastructure as code and artificial intelligence development to support data scientists. As an intern, you will be working with our team of experienced software engineers to develop, test, and maintain software applications that support our clients' cloud infrastructure needs. This is a part-time job that can be worked anywhere within the U.S. Responsibilities: Collaborate with software engineers to design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure software applications Write, test, and debug code in Python, and other programming languages Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes Work with data scientists to implement artificial intelligence algorithms and models Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation Work with DevOps engineers to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines Contribute to the development of technical documentation Qualifications Required Qualifications: High school and one year or more of college coursework. Desired Qualifications: Experience with Python. Experience with JavaScript. Familiarity with cloud computing and infrastructure as code principles. Familiarity with web frameworks such as React. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
