About the role
SafetyWing (YC W18) is seeking a Product Manager Intern to join us for Summer 2025.
At SafetyWing, we're building a global social safety net for remote workers—simple health, insurance, and retirement products designed to replace national welfare systems. Our mission is to remove geographical borders as a barrier to equal opportunity and freedom for everyone. If we succeed, we believe this will be one of the most important tasks of our time.
As a Product Manager Intern on the Nomad Experience team, you will help improve and scale the post-purchase experience for our global members. Working closely with the Product Manager, designers, and engineers, you'll contribute to product research, implementation, testing, and help ensure smooth coordination across teams like legal, partnerships, marketing, and customer service.
Your responsibilities will include
Supporting the Nomad Experience Product Team in managing and prioritizing the product backlog, focusing on claims and member dashboard improvements
Assisting in triaging bugs, tracking issue status, and collaborating with design and engineering for fast, high-quality resolutions
Conducting user research, gathering feedback, and synthesizing insights to guide upcoming product decisions (e.g., dashboard improvements, claims flow updates, app feature planning)
Helping to prepare product specs, drafting clear user stories, and maintaining up-to-date documentation in product tools and systems
We are looking for someone who
Is committed to dedicating 3 months to this internship, full time, with an anticipated start date of June 2, 2025
Is entrepreneurial and self-driven
Passionate about shaping products that people love
Has a grasp understanding of the Product Management lifecycle
Can take on responsibility for end-to-end processes from product research to implementation
We like to work with people who:
Want to help build a global social safety net on the Internet
Think for themselves instead of copying others
Are willing to try new things, even with the risk of failure
Are intellectually curious and open to new ideas
Are creative and bold in the face of any problems
Have strong integrity and do the right thing
What we offer
A great team to learn from and collaborate with, in a fully remote, work-from-anywhere environment 🌏
A fully paid 3-month summer internship with the opportunity to learn, grow, and make an impact
