Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to ensure the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe working environment, ensuring statutory compliance, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture at project sites.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Prepare and implement site-specific safety plans, emergency response plans, and evacuation procedures.
- Conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety compliance on-site.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure safe execution of construction activities.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident logs, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure fire safety systems, emergency equipment, and first-aid facilities are properly maintained and readily available.
- Recommend corrective actions to eliminate unsafe practices and improve overall site safety performance.
- Support management in achieving organizational safety objectives and maintaining a zero-accident workplace.
Required Skills & Competencies- Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices, HSE regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Thorough understanding of PPE requirements, work permits, fire safety, and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to train and motivate teams to maintain a proactive safety culture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting documentation.
Educational Qualification- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering or any relevant discipline.
- Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or ADIS will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile- 3-4 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the Real Estate/Construction Industry.
- Hands-on experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise building construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Indian safety regulations, labour laws, and HSE compliance.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
