Role Description
We are hiring a full-time on-site Safety Officer responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees and operations at our Mundra, Kutch, Gujarat location. The Safety Officer will conduct safety training sessions, oversee occupational health initiatives, investigate workplace incidents, and implement security standards. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and providing recommendations for safety improvements will also be key priorities for this role.
Responsible for ensuring health & safety compliance at construction sites, minimizing risks, and creating a safe working environment for all workers and staff.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor site safety policies & procedures
- Ensure proper use of PPE (helmet, safety shoes, harness, etc.)
- Conduct daily site safety inspections
- Identify hazards and perform risk assessment
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety training
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with government safety regulations
- Issue and monitor work permits (height work, hot work, confined space, etc.)
- Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports
- Coordinate with project/site team for safe execution
- Ensure proper scaffolding, lifting, and electrical safety
🔹 Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction safety standards
- Risk assessment & hazard identification
- Good communication and leadership
- Strong observation skills
- Emergency handling capability
🔹 Qualification
- Diploma / Degree (any field)
- Safety certification (NEBOSH / IOSH) – preferred
- 2–5 years experience in construction safety
🔹 Key Areas of Knowledge
- Working at height safety
- Fire safety
- Electrical safety
- Excavation safety
- Lifting operations
- “Responsible for implementing safety measures, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance at construction site.”
🔹 Optional (Add in JD if needed)
- Experience in high-rise / infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
