Job Title: HSE Officer / HSE Engineer – Renewable Energy Projects
Location: Golamunda, Kalahandi District, Odisha
Employment Type: Full-Time (Site-Based) I

About the Role
We are seeking a competent HSE Professional to be deployed at renewable energy project sites, responsible for ensuring robust implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) systems during construction and project execution phases.
The role involves managing high-risk activities such as electrical works, working at height, heavy lifting operations, and contractor safety management in line with statutory and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. HSE Management & Compliance
•Implement and monitor HSE Management Systems (HSE-MS) at site
•Ensure compliance with:
oFactories Act
oBOCW Act
oElectricity Act & CEA Regulations
oEnvironment Protection Act
•Maintain site-level statutory compliance records and reporting
2. High-Risk Activity Control
•Review and approve:
oLifting plans, crane selection, load charts, rigging practices
•Supervise:
oHeavy lifting operations (mobile cranes, crawler cranes, hydras)
•Ensure electrical safety compliance for solar/wind installations
3. Risk Assessment & Permit Systems
•Conduct HIRA (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment)
•Prepare and review:
oJob Safety Analysis (JSA)
oMethod Statements
•Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for critical activities
4. Site Monitoring & Audits
•Perform daily HSE inspections and report unsafe acts/conditions
•Monitor contractor safety performance and compliance
•Conduct internal audits and track closure of observations
5. Incident Management
•Investigate incidents and near misses using root cause analysis
•Develop and track Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
6. Training & Awareness
•Conduct:
oSafety inductions
oToolbox talks
oTask-specific safety training
•Drive workforce safety culture and awareness
7. Coordination & Reporting
•Coordinate with Project, EPC, O&M, and contractor teams
•Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for management
Qualification & Experience
Mandatory
•ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) – Recognized Board
•Minimum 5+ years of relevant HSE experience
Preferred
•Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Science
•Experience in Solar / Wind / Hybrid renewable projects
