Job Title: Safety Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental practices across façade project sites, and installation activities.
This role is critical in ensuring safe execution of façade works such as glazing, ACP cladding, curtain wall installation, structural steel interface works, scaffolding, lifting operations, and work-at-height activities.
Candidates with NEBOSH certification and relevant construction or façade project experience will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Project Site Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and client safety requirements at façade project sites.
- Supervise all work-at-height activities including installation of curtain wall, glazing, ACP, and external façade systems.
- Monitor scaffolding, gondola, boom lift, ladder, and access equipment safety.
- Ensure lifting operations for glass panels, aluminium frames, and façade materials are conducted safely.
Hazard Identification & Risk Control
- Conduct daily site inspections and risk assessments.
- Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions; implement corrective actions immediately.
- Monitor fall protection systems, anchorage points, lifelines, and edge protection.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of glass, aluminium, sealants, and heavy materials.
Training & Safety Awareness
- Conduct safety induction for new employees, subcontractors, and site workers.
- Deliver toolbox talks on façade-specific risks such as working at height, glass handling, and rigging.
- Promote a strong safety culture among installation teams and supervisors.
Permit & Compliance Management
- Manage work permits such as hot work, height work, lifting permits, electrical isolation, etc.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, contractor safety rules, and client standards.
- Maintain safety documentation, checklists, incident reports, and audit records.
Incident Prevention & Investigation
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and property damage incidents.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend preventive actions.
- Track closure of corrective actions.
Coordination
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and client safety teams.
- Support smooth execution of project schedules while maintaining safety standards.
Requirements
- NEBOSH Certification – Mandatory
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering or relevant qualification preferred
- 5–8 years of experience in construction / façade / glazing / cladding / engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of work-at-height safety practices
- Experience handling scaffolding, lifting plans, glass handling, and installation safety
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to enforce safety professionally on active sites
Preferred Skills
- IOSH / OSHA certification added advantage
- Knowledge of emergency response and first aid
- Strong coordination and leadership ability
