Role Description The Safety Officer will be responsible for overseeing workplace health, safety, and security practices across HVAC project sites to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards. This full-time, on-site role is based in Delhi and includes conducting regular safety inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective measures. The Safety Officer will organize and deliver safety training sessions, maintain safety documentation and incident records, and support accident investigations to prevent recurrence. The role also involves coordinating with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture, monitoring use of PPE, and ensuring emergency preparedness and response procedures are in place.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices and Occupational Health standards relevant to construction and HVAC projects.
- Proficiency in Accident Investigation and reporting, including root-cause analysis and preventive action planning.
- Experience in Safety Training design and delivery, including toolbox talks, induction programs, and refresher sessions.
- Awareness of Security protocols at project sites, including access control and basic emergency response coordination.
- Relevant diploma or degree in safety, engineering, or a related field; additional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or local safety certifications are an advantage.
- Familiarity with national safety regulations, building codes, and HVAC-related safety norms.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience in construction, infrastructure, or HVAC project environments is highly desirable.
