Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Officer role based in Azamgarh. The Safety Officer will monitor workplace conditions, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and security regulations. Daily responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, supporting risk assessments, investigating incidents and near-misses, and maintaining accurate safety documentation and reports. The role also involves coordinating and delivering safety training, promoting a culture of safety awareness, and collaborating with management and staff to implement corrective and preventive measures. The Safety Officer will work closely with various departments to support continuous improvement in safety performance and emergency preparedness.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health regulations and best practices.
- Strong capabilities in Accident Investigation and incident reporting, including root-cause analysis.
- Experience in Security oversight related to workplace safety and asset protection.
- Proven ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training and awareness programs.
- Relevant professional certification or diploma in occupational health and safety or a related field.
- Knowledge of local and international safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviors at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently on-site.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments is an advantage.
- Competence in using basic office software for documentation, reporting, and training materials.
