🚨 WE ARE HIRING | SAFETY OFFICER – CHEMICAL MANUFACTURING
We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer to join our team in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry.
📌 Position: Safety Officer
🏭 Industry: Chemical Manufacturing / Specialty Chemicals
💼 Experience: 5–8 Years
📍 Location: [Chennai-Tamil Nadu]
🎓 Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety / Safety Engineering / Chemical Engineering or equivalent
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor plant safety policies and procedures
• Conduct HIRA, JSA/JHA, safety inspections and audits
• Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) and LOTO systems
• Ensure safe handling, storage and transportation of hazardous chemicals
• Conduct incident / near-miss investigations and implement CAPA
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and mock drills
• Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks and safety training
• Monitor contractor safety and PPE compliance
• Ensure statutory safety and factory compliance
• Maintain EHS records, reports and audit documentation
• Support HAZOP and process safety activities
🔹 Candidate Profile:
✅ 5–8 years of relevant experience in a Chemical / Specialty Chemical / Process Manufacturing Plant
✅ Strong knowledge of Industrial Safety & Chemical Process Safety
✅ Hands-on experience in HIRA, HAZOP, PTW, LOTO and Incident Investigation
✅ Good communication, coordination and training skills
✅ Experience in statutory inspections and EHS audits will be preferred
