Role Description The Safety Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Guwahati. This position is responsible for monitoring and improving workplace safety practices across production, warehousing, and distribution operations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective and preventive actions to maintain compliance with statutory and company safety standards. The Safety Executive will help develop and implement safety procedures, maintain documentation and reports, and support incident investigations and root cause analysis. The role also involves organizing safety trainings and awareness programs, ensuring use of appropriate personal protective equipment, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices, ideally in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
- Candidates should possess abilities in preparing safety reports, maintaining compliance documentation, and using MS Office or similar tools for data tracking and analysis.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to conduct trainings, lead toolbox talks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in industrial safety or EHS roles within beverage, food processing, or manufacturing plants will be beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Guwahati, conduct regular facility rounds, and support shift-based operations as required.
