The Role
As a Safety & Compliance Engineer at ReVx Energy, you will be responsible for ensuring our BMS, ITMS, VTS, and EMS products meet all applicable automotive safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry certifications. You will drive functional safety (ISO 26262), EMC/EMI compliance, environmental testing, and homologation activities, working closely with design, firmware, and quality teams to build safety into every stage of product development.
What You Will Do
- Lead functional safety activities per ISO 26262 for BMS and automotive electronics products — hazard analysis, safety goals, ASIL decomposition, safety requirements, and safety case documentation.
- Drive product compliance with Indian and international automotive regulations: AIS-156, AIS-038, CMVR, ECE/UN-R standards, and BIS mandates.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee type approval testing: EMC/EMI (CISPR 25, ISO 11452), environmental (IP67, vibration, thermal cycling), and electrical safety testing.
- Manage relationships with testing laboratories (ARAI, ICAT, NABL-accredited labs) and certification bodies.
- Develop and maintain compliance matrices, DFMEA/PFMEA, safety plans, and traceability documentation.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to incorporate safety and compliance requirements into product design from concept stage.
- Support PPAP documentation, customer safety audits, and OEM homologation requirements.
- Track evolving regulatory landscape for BMS, EV, and ESS products and proactively advise engineering teams on design implications.
- Conduct internal safety reviews, design FMEAs, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Support IATF 16949 and ASPICE compliance activities across the organization.
What We Are Looking For
- M.Tech/B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in functional safety, compliance engineering, or homologation in automotive electronics or EV domain.
- Strong hands-on experience with ISO 26262 functional safety lifecycle (from concept to production).
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI standards (CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 7637), environmental testing (IP ratings, vibration, thermal), and electrical safety.
- Familiarity with Indian automotive regulations: AIS-156, AIS-038, CMVR, PLI/PMP mandates.
- Experience working with test labs (ARAI, ICAT, NABL labs) for type approval and certification.
- Understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA, FTA, and reliability engineering methods.
- Experience with BMS safety requirements (UN 38.3, IEC 62619, IEC 62660, AIS-048) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ASPICE, IATF 16949, and automotive quality management systems.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
Why Join ReVx Energy
- Own the safety and compliance strategy for automotive-grade electronics products deployed in real vehicles and energy systems.
- Work at the intersection of engineering, regulation, and quality — a critical role in the EV ecosystem.
- Collaborate directly with OEM engineering and compliance teams.
- Competitive compensation with stock options and meaningful impact on sustainable energy.
