Position: SAC Planning Developer
Experience Required: 7+ years overall in EPM/Planning tools with minimum 2 years in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning with strong SAP BPC background. No BW experience will be counted.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAC Planning Developer to design, implement, and enhance SAP Analytics Cloud Planning solutions for FP&A and Workforce Planning. The role requires a strong foundation in BPC and Anaplan, deep hands-on expertise in SAC Planning, and an ability to integrate with SuccessFactors and S/4HANA.
Key Responsibilities
Expert in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning, capable of independently driving full-cycle implementations across FP&A, Workforce Planning, OPEX, CAPEX, Revenue, and Cost Centre Planning. Combines technical configuration with business process understanding to deliver scalable, integrated planning solutions
Define planning architecture, lead workshops, and translate business requirements into SAC models, workflows, and dashboards.
Configure and optimize planning models using advanced SAC features.
Drive data integration from S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, BW/4HANA, and flat files into SAC Planning.
Develop user-friendly planning templates and stories for financial and operational stakeholders.
Drive governance, access controls, lifecycle management, and performance optimization of SAC applications.
Partner with cross-functional teams for scenario planning, what-if modeling, and predictive forecasting.
Mentor and guide teams in adopting SAC best practices and support change management and enablement.
Expected Expertise & must have skills
The ideal candidate must demonstrate hands-on expertise in the following SAC Planning functions:
Creation of planning models, accounts, dimensions (including workforce and financial dimensions).
Real-time and batch integration with S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, BW/4HANA.
Security setup (data access control, role-based access).
Driver-based planning & allocations (e.g., revenue, OPEX, CAPEX, cost allocations).
Advanced use of Data Actions, Allocations, and Multi-step Business Rules.
Value Driver Trees for scenario modelling.
Forecasting methods including rolling forecasts, best/worst-case scenario analysis.
Predictive Planning capabilities (time series forecasting).
Integration of workforce plans with SuccessFactors data (headcount, FTE, compensation planning).
Calendar feature for task assignments, approvals & collaboration.
Commenting, collaboration tools, and audit trails for version tracking.
Creation of stories and dashboards for CFOs, controllers, and HR leaders.
Version management — actual, budget, forecast comparisons.
Dynamic reporting on workforce KPIs (attrition, compensation vs. budget, headcount variance).
Transport of models/content across tenants.
Performance tuning and optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP SAC Planning certification.
Familiarity with SAC Reporting, Group Reporting, Datasphere/BW4HANA
