Maintenance Supervisor

BASIC FUNCTION:

Provides leadership to a team of employees that are responsible for the maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, tools and support equipment to realize a company profit.  The safety of that team and maintaining a high level of housekeeping is essential. 

Maintenance Leadership and Responsibilities

o   Supervise parts room staff

o   Maintain parts room inventory through SAP inventory control of in-line machines

o   Organize Parts room with lean principals

o   Identify Critical Parts to maintain machine up-time.

o   Analyze min/max quantities and schedule Spare parts

o   Identify Obsolete components and coordinate with OEM for upgrades

o   Expedite all emergency parts and repair services to eliminate machine downtime

o   Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders using SAP

o   Maintain open PO report in accordance to Maxxvault to maximize vendor credits

o   Evaluate equipment and maintenance requirements, document maintenance procedures

o   Manage maintenance work flow processes required to maintain an accurate maintenance database (Work Orders, Part Consumption and PM Sheets)

o   Review and adjust Maintenance paperwork to be BRC compliant.

o   Maintain data within SAP—track maintenance work order status, preventive maintenance (PM) performance

o   Create reports as it pertains to machine downtime and part consumption

o   Work with production scheduling to set PM schedule of equipment

o   Assign number of mechanics needed and timeline of PM

o   Assist operational excellence to streamline processes as required

o   Utilize 4DX to improve shop and maintenance activities

o   Cover for Maintenance Manager when unavailable

o   Assist on Plant Start-ups and Shutdowns

o   Contact for Alarm System

SAP support

o   Assist with production work order consumptions

o   On-site SAP training

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

·         Must be able to communicated in English

·         An in-depth, detailed knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical process.

·         Must be particularly strong in electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of Thermoforming and Extrusion of plastics is also preferred.

·         Detailed knowledge of electrical circuits and controllers, including troubleshooting of AC-DC-PLC, Motors, Systems, and Controllers.

·         Ability to read and work from prints, both mechanical and electrical.

·         Has the knowledge and skill to use a variety of hand and power tools as well as shop tools.

·         Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish root cause of problems.

·         Must be capable of bending and lifting tool parts and machine equipment up to fifty pounds 

·         Able to push, pull or carry light loads.
