About the role
We are a fast-growing SaaS company looking for a results-driven Link Building Manager to own and scale our off-page SEO strategy. You will lead the development and execution of high-authority link acquisition campaigns that drive organic growth, improve domain authority, and increase qualified traffic to our platform.
This is a strategic and hands-on role — you will manage outreach pipelines, build relationships with publishers and industry voices, and collaborate closely with Content, Product Marketing, and Growth teams to ensure link building is tightly integrated with our broader SEO and content strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a scalable link building strategy tailored for SaaS, targeting high-DA/DR publications, industry blogs, Guest Posting, Blogger Outreach and technology directories.
- Manage end-to-end outreach campaigns — prospecting, personalized email outreach, follow-ups, and relationship management with editors and site owners.
- Identify and pursue digital PR, guest posting, resource page, broken link, and HARO/journalist request opportunities.
- Conduct competitor backlink analysis and gap audits to uncover high-value link acquisition opportunities.
- Collaborate with the content team to create linkable assets — studies, reports, tools, infographics, and original data.
- Track, report, and optimize campaign KPIs including referring domains, DR growth, anchor text distribution, and organic traffic lift.
- Manage and mentor a small team of outreach specialists or freelance link builders.
- Maintain and enforce white-hat link building standards; monitor for toxic/spammy backlinks and initiate disavow processes as needed.
- Build and maintain a proprietary database of vetted publisher contacts and partner sites.
- Stay current with Google algorithm updates and SEO industry trends to adapt strategy proactively.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of hands-on link building experience, with at least 1–2 years in a SaaS or B2B tech environment.
- Demonstrated track record of acquiring high-authority backlinks (DR 50+) at scale through white-hat methods.
- Proficiency with SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog.
- Experience with outreach and CRM tools such as Pitchbox, Hunter.io, Mailshake, BuzzStream, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO fundamentals — crawlability, site authority, anchor text strategy, and link equity.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, personalized outreach pitches.
- An analytical mindset with comfort interpreting data in Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, or similar dashboards.
- Experience managing full or small outreach teams preferred.
