Job Title: DC Administrative Assistant

Department: Office

Reports To: DC Manager

Location: Lithia Springs, GA

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Pay: $19.00/hour to start and up to $22.00/hour after 12 months

Summary: To assist and support the Distribution Center with customer issues, DC coordination, and other activities by handling daily administrative tasks. The following duties and responsibilities are expected:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Reads and routes incoming mail


  • Composes and types routine correspondence


  • Organizes and maintains file system, both electronic and physical, and files correspondence and other records


  • Coordinates schedules and makes appointments


  • Support talent acquisition efforts within the DC


  • Complete onboarding processes for all new hires


  • Provide daily P&A (Productivity and Accuracy) data to management team


  • Act as front-line liaison with staffing agencies


  • Play role in annual safety / security audits documentation / records retention / annual safety video compliance


  • Arranges and coordinates travel schedules and reservations.


  • Conducts research and compiles statistical reports.


  • Orders and maintains supplies and arranges for equipment maintenance.


  • Other duties as assigned to fit changing business needs.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:  

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 

 

Language Skills:  

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills:  

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:  

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
