SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the property’s resident renewal program and provides administrative support to other members of the office staff. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
- Maintains an on-going resident visitation program and assists with the resolution of problems.
- Encourages residents to renew their leases.
- Prepare the necessary paperwork for renewals.
- Completes VHDA reports, re-certifications, and transmissions.
- Renew Leases.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- May be supplemented by prior supervisory experience in a customer service environment.
- Current Fair Housing Certification
- Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle)
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Advanced college courses in Public Relations, Sales, or Real-Estate; coupled with prior experience in a multi-unit rental complex.
- General knowledge of Fair Housing and Landlord Resident Laws.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- Physical Activities up to and including, typing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or standing for periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
GENERAL:
- Hours worked will coincide with the hours of operation in the community. This position may be required to work on weekends as necessary.
