Open Source Rust Software Engineer

We're looking for a skilled Rust backend engineer to build scalable APIs and high-performance backend systems in a fast-growing open-source environment. This is a great opportunity for engineers passionate about OSS development and contributing to widely used projects. What You'll Do: Design and develop high-performance backend systems in Rust Build scalable APIs and optimize for edge cases and performance Contribute to and maintain open-source projects Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new features Work with relational databases, ORMs, and SQL to ensure efficient data management What We're Looking For: 3+ years of Rust experience TypeScript experience is a strong plus Experience contributing to popular OSS projects Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for open-source development Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows Experience with real-time frameworks (WebSockets, Socket.IO) is a plus
