Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Rust Developer. The Rust Developer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and system components that power theaimart’s AI marketplace and infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing performant and secure Rust code, integrating APIs and microservices, and optimizing data processing pipelines. The role involves collaborating with product, AI, and DevOps teams to ship features, troubleshoot production issues, improve scalability, and ensure system reliability. The Rust Developer will also contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Rust programming and systems-level development, including experience with concurrency, memory safety, and performance optimization.
- Experience building backend services, APIs, or microservices, preferably with modern architectures (e.g., event-driven, distributed systems).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines for deployment and automation.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Comfort working with databases (SQL or NoSQL), message queues, and REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Ability to collaborate in a remote, cross-functional team, communicate clearly, and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Interest or experience in AI/ML infrastructure, AI agents, or API-based AI products is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in startup or high-growth environments is beneficial.
