Role Description
This is a full-time, remote position for a Ruby on Rails Developer. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with front-end developers, ensuring seamless integration, identifying bottlenecks, debugging applications, and implementing scalable and maintainable features. You will also keep up-to-date with best practices and modern web development trends to continually improve systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Ruby on Rails, including the ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code
- Proficiency in front-end development languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Knowledge of database systems, particularly SQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as RSpec and Capybara
- Understanding of API design, RESTful principles, and integration with third-party services
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and effectively communicate within a team
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred
