Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Rubber Technologist role based in Porbandar. The Rubber Technologist will design and develop rubber compounds and formulations for extrusion & molding, aligned with performance and cost requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting material testing, analyzing physical and chemical properties, optimizing process parameters, and troubleshooting production issues on the shop floor. The role involves collaborating with production, quality, and design teams to ensure product consistency, adherence to technical specifications, and compliance with relevant industry standards. The Rubber Technologist will also support continuous improvement initiatives, documentation of technical data, and scaling new formulations from lab to full production.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in rubber compounding, material formulation, and knowledge of elastomers used in extrusion, molding, and injection molding applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in material testing, quality control, and interpretation of laboratory results (e.g., hardness, tensile strength, aging, and compression set).
- Candidates should possess process-oriented skills, including understanding of extrusion, molding, and injection molding machinery, process optimization, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Candidates should possess skills in technical documentation, specification development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams (production, design, and quality).
- Candidates should possess familiarity with sealing solutions for automotive, industrial, architectural applications, and preferably experience working with OEMs or railway sector projects.
- Diploma or degree in Rubber Technology, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in a rubber or polymer manufacturing environment.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in an on-site manufacturing setting.
