Overview of the Role:

Based at RHS Garden Bridgewater, near Manchester this role is ideal for someone looking to take expand their IT services horizons. We support over 1200 users across seven sites you will soon be exposed to new technologies, training and supporting IT in unique environments like the Chelsea Flower Show and at our gardens.

The role will also require a once a week visit to our garden in Harrogate and allow time for flexible working at home.

This is no ordinary IT service desk role. We manage all elements from what you would expect like PCs and printers but also our retail tills, membership recruitment and a new CRM programme which goes live later this year.

We are a relatively small team and encourage all our staff to learn and spend time with our infrastructure and networking colleagues, we strongly believe in training and coaching and will wherever possible encourage you to expand your IT knowledge.

Customer service excellence is a priority for us, we are an internal service department, and our primary role is providing the best service to our colleagues. This is not an eight-hour sat at your desk IT role, you will be out meeting colleagues and assisting in exciting projects like M365, Teams, SharePoint and moving other services to the cloud.

You need to have good understanding of IT operations or recently attained relevant qualifications. An understanding of IT hardware and interest in new technologies is desirable as we have an ambitious programme of new projects to deliver in the next 18 months which you will perform a key role in. Travelling to multiple sites will be required from time to time.
